Day of Caring

Day of CaringDay of Caring is a fantastic opportunity to work hard, get your hands dirty, and witness firsthand the great things non-profit agencies in the Greater Nashua area are doing! Day of Caring takes place each September. For one day, volunteers from companies in the Greater Nashua and Souhegan Valley area take the day off from work to volunteer at area non-profit organizations.

Day of Caring 2010

More than 300 volunteers are expected to participate in United Way of Greater Nashua's 19th Annual Day of Caring on September 15, 2010. They will paint and clean up facilities, deliver meals to homebound elderly, work with toddlers and seniors in day care programs, and perform a variety of other services that agencies could not complete on their own due to lack of resources.

ATTENTION AGENCIES: Download and complete your Day of Caring project form, and return to United Way as soon as possible. Be sure to complete one form for each project request.

PARTICIPATING COMPANIES: Company coordinators, please download the cover letter, coordinator packet, and volunteer form. We're asking for volunteer forms to be submitted by company coordinators (NOT individual volunteers) by July 23, 2010.

Special thanks to our sponsors to date: BAE Systems; DJ Dave Entertainment; Elbit Systems of America; McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, PA; Pennichuck Water; Print Pro; Public Service of NH; St. Joseph Hospital; SecureHorizons by UnitedHealthcare; and UPS.

You may think volunteering...

You may think volunteering only means cleaning up, planting trees, or working in a soup kitchen. But many nonprofits need professional services, such as writing a business plan, doing their books, developing a Web site, board governance or software training. UWGN offers you a variety of ways to get involved and make an impact.
