SUMMARY:Horsing Around at Touchstone Farm (Previously Gleaning United)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and meaningful volunteer morning at Touchstone Farm\, a therapeutic riding nonprofit that provides life-changing experiences for children and adults. Volunteers will help the farm prepare for winter by contributing to a variety of hands-on projects: \n\n\nCleaning up the gardens for winter (nippers recommended) \n\n\nThinning out the lending library \n\n\nThinning out the lending closet \n\n\nCleaning windows and mirrors \n\n\nCleaning paddocks (a physically demanding task involving shoveling manure) \n\n\nOriginally\, we had planned a Gleaning United apple-picking event\, but that location became unavailable this year. This alternative opportunity at Touchstone Farm is just as impactful\, helping the organization manage increased costs for horse supplies and maintain a welcoming environment for their participants. \n We are grateful for all the support helping Touchstone Farm get ready for winter! \n  \n  \n

Runners\, walkers\, and participants in vehicles may choose a 5k\, 10k\,1/2 marathon\, or marathon course at any time between those dates. One of the big goals is to raise funds for the Community Safety Net so your participation\, whether it’s walking\, running\, or driving does good for others in any setting. \nWhile shaking off the winter blues\, you can learn more about the many non-profit partners who are highlighted on each course. You complete your chosen course at your convenience\, and competition via self-reported times and a selfie contest adds extra fun. Get moving and raise funds for the United Way Community Safety Net\, which supports the many needs of our community. \nRegister for the event HERE. \nFor more information contact United Way of Greater Nashua and info@unitedwaynashua.org or (603)882-4011. \nThe Community is Successful Before the Race Even Begins\, Thanks to These Sponsors: \nNaming Sponsors \n \n  \n \n \n \nUnique Sponsors \n           \n          \n  \nTeam Sponsors \n
