Confident Online: Digital Literacy Workshops for All
Free Community Workshops from United Way of Greater Nashua and the YMCA of Greater Nashua
United Way of Greater Nashua is offering a series of free, beginner-friendly digital literacy workshops designed to help you feel more confident using computers and navigating the online world. Classes are open to everyone—no prior experience is needed. Bring your own laptop if you can. A limited number of devices will be available. 
Location
Workshops are held at the YMCA of Greater Nashua, located at 24 Stadium Drive in Nashua. The YMCA offers a comfortable, community-friendly setting with convenient parking and easy access from major roads, making it a convenient location for participants from across the Greater Nashua area.

August 25 – Cybersecurity & Avoiding Scams
Learn how to recognize common online, email, text message, and phone scams, protect your accounts and personal information, and know what to do if you think you’ve been targeted.
September 22 – Windows & Mac: Working Smarter, Not Harder
Discover helpful tips, shortcuts, and everyday computer skills that can help you save time, stay organized, and get more done with less frustration.
October 27 – Understanding Your Smartphone
Learn how smartphones collect and share information, how location tracking works, and what privacy settings you can adjust to better control your personal data.
November 24– Banking Safety & Fraud Prevention
Learn about identity theft, financial scams, safe online banking practices, and practical steps you can take to protect your money and financial information.
Non-Tech Topics: Emergency Preparedness
December 22 – When 911 Isn’t Coming
Learn practical steps you can take during emergencies when help may be delayed, including preparedness, communication, situational awareness, and self-reliance.
January 26 – Stop the Bleed™
Learn lifesaving techniques to control severe bleeding and provide immediate care until emergency responders arrive. This nationally recognized course includes hands-on instruction.
All workshops are free to attend. Please register in advance to save your spot.
Who Should Attend
These workshops are ideal for older adults and others who want to feel more confident using technology in everyday life. No prior technology experience is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own devices (smartphones, tablets, or laptops), but it is not required.
