“Household Basics” Kit Packing – Our neighbors living in transitional housing facilities, like veteran’s housing, recovery facilities, halfway houses, transitional housing for families, or people who have experienced domestic violence sometimes need things that aren’t available through a soup kitchen or free clothing closet. Everyone sometimes needs things like a roll of duct tape, a pair of scissors or tweezers, some thread and a needle, or a band aid. One of the volunteer projects United Way of Greater Nashua organizes is packing kits of these items for people living in transitional housing. If your company, scout troop, faith community, or other group would like to work on packing kits please contact us at info@unitedwaynashua.org or (603)882-4011 to discuss a day for packing and methods of raising funds to purchase items.

Other Kit Packing Projects – We would love to work with your company, faith community, scout troop, or group of friends to pack kits for our neighbors in need. Groups working on this type of kit packing will raise funds to purchase supplies for the kits and come together at the United Way office or another location to put the kits together. Types of kits for groups to work on are: women’s hygiene kits, men’s hygiene kits, senior women’s hygiene kits, school supplies kits, and kits for people experiencing homelessness.
