We’ve all heard about the community safety net… but what does it really mean to have a strong safety net? It means that homeless kids don’t fall through the cracks. It means that families have access to high quality childcare, dental care, and other social supports. It means that families experiencing homelessness can regain financial stability through transitional housing programs. Basically, it means that nobody falls through the cracks. Together, we can work to create LASTING CHANGE which helps to ensure a safe, healthy, and strong community. That is the theme of this year’s SKYDIVE UNITED! Will you join me in supporting UNITED WAY’s social safety net fund which is dedicated to supporting the needs of our community? The need is great, and your support is INCREDIBLY appreciated. On September 20 we’ll be jumping out of a (perfectly good) plane in order to make a statement that we are FEARLESS in our fight to build a stronger safety net. Thank you so much for YOUR SUPPORT!

For the adventurous, Skydive United offers a unique opportunity to jump out of a plane while raising money to end youth homelessness. Now in its sixth year, the event supports United Way’s Community Safety Net Fund – a fund that helps neighbors of all ages, from kids to seniors, get the essentials they need when life throws them a curveball. It supports programs for food, housing, health, and more, so no one falls through the cracks.

Last year’s event raised nearly $30,000. This is a very important fundraiser, and we are looking for more brave Skydivers! We are expecting teams from Nashua Fire Rescue and Nashua Police. Sponsors supporting the event include St. Joseph Hospital, Gate City Casino, Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, Northeast Delta Dental, and Fully Promoted of Southern New Hampshire.
