Care-E-Oke Fundraiser
United Way of Greater Nashua invites community members of all vocal talents to join them for their first annual “Care-E-Oke” fundraiser on Wednesday, October 25th from 6 – 9PM at the Nashua Center for the Arts.
Participants do not have to sing like Aretha Franklin to engage in this fundraiser which aims to hit a high note with our community. Those who wish to support the fundraiser but aren’t ready to belt out tunes can donate to participants or sponsor the event.
The singing competition will be judged by Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess, local football legend Kendall Reyes, Nashua Telegraph General Manager, Chris Johnson, and New Hampshire Union Leader Managing Editor, Melanie Hitchcock. More judges may be added at a future date. The Master of Ceremonies will be Mike Morin (Radio/TV personality, Telegraph columnist, award-winning author).
The event supports United Way’s community safety net, which in turn provides funding for 24 local nonprofit organizations in Greater Nashua working in the areas of health, education, and economic mobility. These include places like the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua, Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County, Operation Delta Dog, Greater Nashua Dental Connection, Stepping Stones, and Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity.
United Way of Greater Nashua is grateful to the following companies for their generous sponsorship of the event: Service Credit Union, St. Joseph Hospital, The Telegraph, New Hampshire Union Leader, Center for Physical Therapy and Exercise, Shaheen and Gordon, Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, and Delta Dental.
