Gleaning United
On Monday October 16th, United Way of Greater Nashua volunteers hope to harvest a few thousand pounds of food left in the fields of Kimball Fruit Farm after the farm’s initial harvest. The food collected will be donated to places like Tolles Street Mission, Corpus Christi Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua, Southern NH Rescue Mission, and the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
Hunger is a pervasive problem across the United States. Hunger means more than missing a meal. For some families, it often means having to choose between buying groceries or paying rent. By gleaning, United Way volunteers will fight hunger and support health by distributing fresh and local produce to those in need in our community.
Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate in this event which will take place on Monday, October 16th from 9am to 1pm. Register to help here: https://tinyurl.com/Glean2023
