Talk on Transit Options in Nashua

Nashua, NH – March 18, 2024 – United Way of Greater Nashua is excited to announce an upcoming event aimed at shedding light on the array of free and low-cost transportation options available within the city of Nashua. This informative talk, titled “Transit Options in Nashua: Navigating Your Transportation Landscape,” will take place on April 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Nashua Public Library.

Presented in collaboration with the Regional Coordination Council for Community Transportation, Nashua Regional Planning Commission, Nashua Transit System, and The Caregivers, the event aims to empower Nashua residents with valuable insights into accessible and affordable transportation solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of transit services tailored to meet the diverse needs of the community.

“We are thrilled to host this important discussion on transit options in Nashua,” said Sara Ceaser of United Way of Greater Nashua. “Access to transportation is crucial for individuals and families to reach essential services, employment, education, and recreational activities. By bringing together key stakeholders, we hope to raise awareness and provide valuable resources to enhance mobility for all residents.”

“You need to register”, says Donna Marceau, the Mobility Manager for the Greater Nashua region.  Aspects of the Mobility Management Program will be presented to help various non-driving communities access essential services.  There is a statewide mobility management network to help you get to where you need to go.   In addition, the Mobility Management Program is helping to create systems to bridge transportation gaps.

The event will cover topics such as public transportation routes, rideshare programs, volunteer driver networks, and more. Whether attendees are looking to save on transportation costs, navigate the city more efficiently, or explore alternative transit options, this event promises to deliver valuable insights and resources.
