Learn United Tutoring

United Way of Greater Nashua is seeking volunteers and new students to participate in the Learn United Tutoring program. This program offers free tutoring services to children in the community who need tutoring in a specific subject or assistance with general schoolwork. The goal of this program is to make sure that every student in the Greater Nashua area has access to the support they need to succeed regardless of socioeconomic status.

Learn United was originally founded in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to address the needs that arose during and after remote learning. It serves as a safety net for any and all students in need of cost-free educational assistance, offering tutoring services in all subjects for students in grades K-12. This program is adaptable to the specific needs of each student and family that utilizes it and seeks to do whatever possible to help local students succeed.

United Way’s tutors work with each student on a schedule that fits their needs and availability. This includes remote and in-person meetings at different days and times (including weekends) and varying degrees of frequency. Locations include:

  • Westwood Park YMCA
  • Merrimack YMCA
  • Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua
  • YMCA of Greater Nashua, Nashua PAL, Girls Inc.
