United Way of Greater Nashua Announces Three Fall Fundraisers:
Skydive United, Pub Crawl, and Care-E-Oke
United Way of Greater Nashua invites the community to join three exciting fundraisers this fall that combine fun and philanthropy: Skydive United on September 20, the Poker Hand Pub Crawl (date to be announced), and Care-E-Oke, a karaoke competition on November 8.

Skydive United — Saturday, September 20
For the adventurous, Skydive United offers a unique opportunity to jump out of a plane while raising money to end youth homelessness. Now in its sixth year, the event supports United Way’s Community Safety Net Fund – a fund that helps neighbors of all ages, from kids to seniors, get the essentials they need when life throws them a curveball. It supports programs for food, housing, health, and more, so no one falls through the cracks.
Last year’s event raised nearly $30,000. This is a very important fundraiser, and we are looking for more brave Skydivers! We are expecting teams from Nashua Fire Rescue and Nashua Police. Sponsors supporting the event include St. Joseph Hospital, Gate City Casino, Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, Northeast Delta Dental, and Fully Promoted of Southern New Hampshire

Poker Hand Pub Crawl — Date TBD
Enjoy a night out while helping your neighbors during the United Way’s second annual Poker Hand Pub Crawl. Participants will visit 5 downtown Nashua venues, collecting playing cards with drink purchases. The best poker hand at the end wins a cash prize, and all proceeds benefit United Way programs focused on education, health, and financial stability.
Registration is $25 and includes event entry, a free drink, a map of participating locations, and chances to win raffle prizes. We love this event because it supports local businesses, and it brings a great sense of camaraderie among community members including long-lasting friend groups and new friends you meet along the way! We expect this event to be in the late fall – November or early in December.

Care-E-Oke — Saturday, November 8
Show off your singing skills or cheer on your favorite performers at Care-E-Oke, a karaoke fundraiser hosted at the Nashua Center for the Arts. Now in its third year, this lively event benefits our community safety net grants which support local nonprofits and direct programs provided by UWGN.
Last year’s crowd favorites included performances of Janis Joplin, a very comical version of “All by Myself” by Celine Dion, and Chris Young with awards for People’s Choice, Best Soloist, and Best Group. Hosted by local personality George Russell, the 2025 event is sponsored by St. Joseph Hospital, Service Credit Union, and several others. This event is a fun and low-cost way to enjoy the Nashua Center for the Arts, support many local nonprofits, and have a great time with the family on a Saturday night in downtown Nashua.

“These events give people many ways to come together and make a real difference,” said Mike Apfelberg, President of United Way of Greater Nashua. “From skydiving to singing karaoke, every participant is helping to build a stronger, healthier community.”
