Exploring Transit in Greater Nashua
Milford, NH – February 7, 2024 – United Way of Greater Nashua is thrilled to announce its upcoming “Coffee and Causes” event tailored for older adults, set to take place on Friday, March 1 at 10:30am at the Wadleigh Memorial Library in Milford. This informative session will delve into the theme of “Exploring Transit in Greater Nashua,” offering valuable insights into alternative transportation options within the community.
“Coffee and Causes” is a series of monthly talks for older adults with presenters speaking about services or opportunities available for seniors in Greater Nashua. These talks are always on the first Friday of the month at a different venue in Greater Nashua each month.
The event will feature Donna Marceau, the Mobility Manager from the Greater Nashua Regional Planning Commission, who will provide expert guidance on navigating the region without reliance on a personal vehicle. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about various transportation resources, including the invaluable services offered by Souhegan Valley Rides, specifically designed to cater to the transportation needs of low-income individuals in that area. Janet Langdell, of Souhegan Valley Rides will be on hand to answer questions.
“Even if you don’t require assistance with transportation yourself, you may encounter individuals who do. Word-of-mouth remains one of the most effective means of disseminating information about vital community services,” said Sara Ceaser, Director of Volunteer and Community Engagement at United Way of Greater Nashua.
This event is sponsored by Ledgewood Bay Assisted Living, located in Milford, NH.
