Nor’easter Fundraiser Blasts its Way to Nashua
NASHUA – The United Way 2023 Nashua Nor’easter Winter Walk/Run/Drive Community Fundraiser will take place February 26 – March 4. This year’s event has been built to showcase how almost everyone can actively demonstrate their support for the many non-profit organizations that provide essential services in our community.
This major fundraiser is like a “Build your own Adventure” – participants choose the day (Feb 24 – Mar 4), distance, method and speed of locomotion, and whether to tackle this on one’s own or build a team of friends or co-workers. It will include a choice of a 5K/10K/Half or Full Marathon in which participants may run, walk, or drive to 33 Nashua nonprofit locations. The run, walk or drive option takes place in downtown Nashua, with full marathon extending from Hudson to Milford.
Individuals or teams may choose to raise money for United Way’s Community Safety Net Grants, which benefit Greater Nashua nonprofits, or the participating nonprofit of their choice. Eighty percent of the money raised will go directly to the chosen agency! This year’s goal is to raise $30,000.
So, come one, come all! Gather your co-workers or friends to form a team. Show support to raise much needed funds and increase awareness of your favorite local social service agency.
